About

My background is in the print trade, on the graphics side. I had a career spanning 3 decades. In that time I did everything from Artworking, Design, product photography and illustration. Photography has been my abiding passion from the time I received a very simple Kodak Instamatic for a birthday present as a child. I used it to take photos of my model aeroplanes and copious holiday photos of my Mom, Dad and the places we visited.

As I progressed on my photography journey I was presented with my first SLR one Christmas. That was the East German Praktica MTL3. The Praktica MTL3 came with a 50mm Prime lens. It was a simple but highly reliable design that kept going and going without fault for years and really helped me take my photography game up a notch. Later I acquired a Rolleiflex SL35 which served me well for many years.

Today I shoot with my second hand Nikon D3200, but my first digital SLR was a Nikon D70s. I firmly believe that it's not the camera you use that's important, certainly not as important as having a good eye for a picture and being open to the opportunities when they present themselves.

I hope you enjoy the work I share on this site. I'm constantly updating my content so please do return frequently.
